Of course she liked to try and pull it off all the time. We put on her Cone of Shame to prevent her from chewing on her tape. We did this until yesterday and decided to take her to a Vet to make sure it was healing properly as her pad was still a little red. At 9 am I called the Midland Animal Clinic. We are new to the area and had not yet gotten a new Vet so we Yelped the veterinarians in this area and thought we would try them. They said to bring in Daisy at 11 that morning. I printed the New Patient form and completed the forms to bring them with me. We arrived at the clinic, gave them the forms and waited for the vet about 10 minutes an assistant came up to us and took us into an exam room. He then took Daisy out of the room to weigh her. She went willingly. A few minutes later he came back with her weight and said the doctor would be in a couple of minutes. A few minutes later the Doctor Harrod came in and kneeled down next to Daisy to examine her( I find that some doctors do not sit on the floor and try and put the dog on to a table which scares the dogs). While on the floor he looked at the cut and said it was healing nicely and told us to keep it the cut open to the air and not wrap it. He said no other treatments were necessary.
I think I caught them when they were super slow, but I am grateful as I saw two people come in right after me. I came in for a same day appearance of pink eye and was in and out in about 10 minutes.
