Besides being in the dental field for 7 years myself, any idiot can see that my cat clearly has moderate-severe gum problems. It's hereditary- he has had it since he was a kitten and I have had to maintain that with yearly cleanings. Dr. Atwal is a genuine person and if your animal means everything to you, and you are willing to go to great lengths to make sure his/her health is under complete control, then this is the doctor for you. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the staff can improve (a little unprofessional and they goof off sometimes at the front desk) and I agree that you do pay a lot- a little too much at times. I had to pay a lot of money when my cat was very sick, when the cause was unclear, but because of all the xrays and tests, he was better rather quickly with his clear diagnosis and medications. So, it's up to you what means more. If you want a cheap quick-fix- don't go here because you won't find it. If you want your pet to get the full treatment & can spend the extra money, this is the doctor to go to. If my mother was sick and we weren't sure why, I sure wouldn't cut corners on tests and care.
