I've had muscle strains before... I work a very physical job at an animal hospital... this was not my usual on-the-job-soreness or pulled muscle. The NSAID shot did absolutely nothing to help ease any pain so I ended up going to the ER where I got a full exam, a possible diagnosis that made sense (potential bulging disc that pinched my sciatic nerve) and some pain meds. I may need an MRI in the near future.
