After having the flu and now a horrible ear ache for about a month, I was seen by a resident who a. didn't listen to my chest (even though she knew I had a history of upper respiratory, particularly sinus, problems) b. didn't check my tonsils and c. generally didn't seem to make a ton of sense. She basically told me nothing was wrong with me (my ears were literally killing me as were my sinuses visibly swollen) and prescribed muscle relaxers for what she thought was a problem I had with grinding my teeth. I've never had a problem with grinding my teeth. One day later and I've been properly diagnosed with an ear infection and I've started antibiotics.
