After 3 more days of drops the drainage seemed to be resolved. But then the next day the baby spiked a 102 degree fever. I took him to the regular pediatrician who did a thorough exam (ears, nose, throat, lungs, heart) and diagnosed him with sinusitis which had backed up into his eye, causing ongoing drainage. Duh.
