We had the idea to take her to Mexico and started looking for clinics near the border. I am SO happy we found Vet Playas! We drove south right away and arrived in Tijuana around 7:30am. One of the owners, Ron, opened the office and asked the doctor who was on call to come in. Long story short, everyone was super nice, the clinic was small but very clean and well equipped. One of the vets there is an orthopedic surgeon, who performed the surgery on my cat, which included placing a screw in her pelvis. She had to stay there for a total of 5 days, and every day we got text updates and pictures, which made us feel so much better about having our little girl so far away. Our total cost at Vet Playas was about $1,200, including boarding, the surgery and all the medicines she came home with.
