This place is not a real urgent care. They do not even have a doctor that is just for urgent care. What they do is squeeze you in between the doctors appointments. So people with appointments kept coming, we kept getting bumped. So i waited over 2 hours to have my daughter seen. I should have left. Poulsbo urgent care and various other places have a doctor that sees all the urgent care patients, while they still have other doctors viewing people that have appointments. I complained to the doctor. He told me that wasn't the norm. Which is a lie, because the girl before me, had also been waiting for hours because she was also seen. So i would recommend going to the hospital or driving a few miles to bremerton doctors clinc, or poulsbo urgent care. This is my first and last time i will come here. I feel very fortunate to live close to this emergency pet clinic. I cannot imagine having a dog and not having this resource when it is needed. They are fabulous. I really like this vet, switched to this one when I found that my last vet was not being thorough enough with my dog and slipping with the mass amount of animals going through there all the time. The first check up I did with them for my dog, I found out immediately that my babe had luxating patella in his back right leg, as well the reason for the visit was because he had been coughing and they suggested a chest xray and I found out he has a collapsing trachea. Same time last year I went to my previous vet with the same problem and they gave me medication for him - something he didn't need medication for, it's just something some little dogs have! When I checked out they gave me a brochure on collapsing trachea and ways to deal with it (although there are no real suitable options without putting him on an anti-cough medication which I didn't want - and they respected).

I am a young white women with 2 young children and a husband. I can afford to visit a more expensive clinic but, I prefer this one. I have used serveral doctors in the offices next to the hospital and have not had much luck. I don't mind waiting for proper care. I typically do not make an appointment but, as long as you go before noon an a weekday the wait is not bad. The most I have ever waited was an hour but, that was a day that I came at about 3 in the afternoon. These people that have commented on the rude office staff are correct but, again you can go and 3 times as much if you are so concerned with a friendly office staff. I have never witnessed the receptionist be outright rude but, she not friendly and professional. She does take personal calls while people are standing at the desk waiting. She and another person that works I think on billing or something else in the office are constantly having personal conversations in full view of the lobby and not even stopping to assist customers at the desk. I have seen several nurses at the clinic and some are more friendly than others but, they have always been polite and respectful. I have 2 young children that I often have to bring with me since I am a stay at home mom. The nurses absolutely love the kids and make them feel welcome. They have kept an eye on the kids so that I could use the restroom. I can often hear the nurses talking in the hallway which to me is unprofessional but, again that is an atmosphere thing that you can get elsewhere for 3 times the cost. I think there are 3 different doctors there. I have only seen two of them. The older female seemed very rushed and didn't spend much time with me. She didn't even sit down which was odd to me but, she did her job. The younger women is very nice and really takes the time to talk to you and explain what is wrong and what I need to do to get better. I have persistant UTI's and she has given some suggests on what could be causing it (we are trying different laundry soaps and making sure to clean myself after sex and swimming and stuff). I am hoping her suggestions will work but, some women are just more prone to these infections. I can't blame the doctor for this. I am pretty particular when it comes to doctors and I love these doctors. I would prefer a quick to the point doctor that solves the problem rather than a doctor who comes in and coddles me but, doesn't fix the problem. To those that are on here complaining about them only treating your problems and not trying to solve it. This is a low income clinic it is not a specialty clinic and if you are have a cronic problem you should probably see a specialist (i.e. a Dertatologist, Urologist, Cardiologist). This is also not an emergency room and if you feel your problem is so sever you need to see the doctor now go to the emergency room. They do see patients on a walk-ins basis but, appointments come first and if they become heavily booked they will not accept walk-ins. They also do not accept walk-ins during the lunch hour (12-2). On the few occation I have arrived and they were not accepting anymore walk-ins I was able to set up an appointment for that same day. Overall for the discounted price I believe that this clinic is worth it and that the doctors do their jobs without drawing the visit out.
