We see several TB tests per day and our providers typically close their eyes while doing the evaluation and just use their fingers to feel the response. A positive response is generally read by both the nurse and then the provider to double check. The link you provided is perfect! The TB questionnaire is important because the test cannot be interpreted without a health background and should definitely be given before the test and not after. A chest x-ray is typically suggested if the patient has a positive response and needs to be cleared for a job, school or volunteering.
