Needed to go to urgent care on a Sunday and this was one of the few places open! Dr. Wang is very knowledgeable and caring and I am very happy with the results of my visit. I had pink eye, caught it from my little one, who caught it from one of her classmates at pre-school. Common situation. After having a good experience at a Target clinic when I had a bad cold, I went again when I had pink eye thinking I probably needed prescription eye drops, which is what my daughter had. The medical professional on duty got into an argument with me before I had even had the chance to sign in for a consultation. She told me I had symptoms of an abrasion and must therefore go to the optical center!! Have to say I was pretty shocked. I doubt the vision center would have wanted pink eye anywhere near its equipment or customers. My eye was red and irritated from having pink eye for the last 3 days, and I was wearing sunglasses because of that. I generally have sensitive eyes anyway, but the nurse had already decided I didn't have pink eye before I described any symptoms or facts to her. Even after I explained that I caught it from my daughter she but you already told me it hurts to look at the light, which she apparently gleaned from seeing me wearing sunglasses as I walked in and then blurting out a question about looking into light, to which I I guess, not really expecting the answer to that general question to lead her to an instant diagnosis of me not having pink eye and referring me elsewhere. Do they not want to treat pink eye at the clinic, or was this nurse that plain stupid? Unfortunately this was not realised and no significant difference was seen in numbers attending emergency departments.
