I truly believe that at least 1/3 of the words could be cut, making information more accessible to readers. This book repeats itself almost every other page, and whole sections could be ruled obsolete because the information is presented in more depth either later in the chapter or in another chapter. It seems like they don't have a lot of faith in their readers. Sometimes, though, it does the opposite and after explaining what cyanosis is for the 14th time, it says the patient needs to be ventilated without explaining what kind of ventilation should be administered. No footnotes are used, which forces the reader to manually skim over sentences like, you may also wish to review the material on the respiratory system in Chapter 7, Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology, and in Chapter 8, Pathophysiology. The book is also written in 3rd person, which adds a lot of words and makes it more difficult to pick up the message. Overall this book is much too long and disorganized to provide a solid learning experience.
