Resuscitation has become the default expectation for everyone and, unless specifically noted to the contrary as with an advanced directive or a Do Not Attempt Resuscitation (DNAR) order, is likely to be performed, at least for witnessed deaths. As such, another proposed mechanism for the decrease in cardiac arrest rates associated with RRTs is increased use of palliative care services and DNAR orders for patients who are dying and for whom resuscitation attempts are likely to be futile or inconsistent with their goals of care. Once a patient has a cardiac arrest, institution of a DNAR order to prevent further resuscitation attempts is frequently entertained. However, many of these patients may have been appropriate for consideration of such an order before the arrest, and failure to properly consider it could result in an unwanted aggressive end to life and a waste of considerable resources. I used to come here all the time for walk-ins but recently every time i've gone there's been a super long (20-45) minute wait, and the three most recent times I've been the three different doctors have seen uninterested in me, and just try to get me in and out as fast as possible, and didnt care to listen to what I had to say, he just wanted to move onto the next patient. In the end he took a throat swab that needed to be looked at in he lab but he booted me out before i had a second to ask about when or how i would hear the results. I realize that some of the doctors there are better than others. Last time my dad had to go for a tetanus shot we had a really lovely woman take care of him, but I just have bad luck there I guess. Literally the best experience I have ever had at an urgent care. Location is great, easy to find, and very accommodating receptionist. Super clean wait area, very earthy, and oddly refreshing. I'm really surprised this clinic has negative reviews. I've only ever had wonderful care here and I think I've been seen by all three doctors. They gave wonderful care to my step-daughter as well when I brought her in right before closing with a 40 degree fever. Despite having to stay late to see us, the doctor didn't rush us and was calm and pleasant the whole time. The doctors at this clinic also try to avoid prescribing antibiotics unless absolutely necessary which is incredibly responsible. Don't expect to take your kid in with a 3-day cough and walk out with antibiotics. They might suggest different cough syrups or maybe an inhaler but they do really try to avoid unnecessary antibiotics which I think is great.
