The doctor (without examining me) kept mentioning my allergies, which I repeatedly advised her I do not have. Finally she listened to my lungs, and checked my nostrils, but never bothered to look into my ears. She then proceeded to give me a prescription which was new to me, and told me it was an antibiotic when I inquired. After taking the medication and feeling strange for several days, with the underlying congestion still present, I looked up my medication. I was shocked to discover that I was not prescribed antibiotics, but STEROIDS, which are apparently used to treat (among other things) inflammation caused by severe allergies, and which can actually worsen an existing infection. They have also given me insomnia and anxiety - more fun side effects. I think I'll risk driving an extra five minutes in order to avoid this place in the future. Never again. Gotta add another praise for Manchester Urgent Care. I've never gone to an urgent care before, so I didn't know what to expect when I took my husband (suffering from fever/chills/cough). What we found was a very pleasant and inviting waiting room, with a nurse and receptionist that greeted us instantly, got our insurance and initial paperwork settled very quickly, and had my husband in an exam room within ten minutes. It wasn't busy at all, so when the receptionist saw me trying to manage our two year old and help my husband, she even came out and talked to my daughter about her toys for a couple of minutes while we got everything sorted out. I didn't meet the doctor myself, but my husband said he was very pleasant and had a comforting sense of levity. We were in and out in a half hour, I bet, with the prescriptions we needed.
