They messed up the X-rays they needed to take and put on someone else's chart. So the doctor thought that I never had the X-ray done. They couldn't figure out the computer so they made me re-take them. Some insurance will make you pay out of pocket because Prompt Care does their billing as out patient to the hospital even though they say this is center for urgent care. I did some research on line to find one not too far from my house, and I was happy to see I could make an appointment on line. I arrived when I was told, had the usual and basic paperwork to fill out. Was quickly seen by a medical assistant who got my history and took my vitals. He was nice enough, but seemed pretty unsure of himself/what he was doing. My guess is he's new to the job. A few minutes of that, and then I'm ushered to another room where I'm quickly seen by the doctor. I knew what was going on, and what I needed, so it was a fairly simple/straight forward visit. Just got a massage there today. This was my second or third time there. The atmosphere is like others have mentioned; one big room with shoji like dividers that provide visual privacy so you are not on display. You can hear people talking sometimes but there is relaxing asian style spa music playing in the background that you can get lost in. I just relax and think I traveled to an asian city.
Dr. Nataliya is a friendly and competent doctor. I really like her. The receptionist is also nice. I am just very disappointed with the wait times. I booked an appointment at 2pm. I was in the clinic about 10 mins before that. I had to wait for an hour before I get in plus I have to wait another 10-20 minutes for the doctor to come in. The long wait is excruciating when I have an appointment. What are appointments for when I will wait this long anyway??! For this, I'm the clinic lose stars. Scary neighborhood & no parking but wonderful people and service - I took my two new puppies in to have their first check up last week. Even though I had a hard time getting to the location due to construction I was able to get there. The was not enough parking and I ended up parking on the street behind the clinic. The neighborhood made me a little uneasy but once I got inside the clinic it was clean, nice and the staff was great. In less than 5 minutes I was being seen and my puppies treated. The staff was wonderful in giving me instructions and answering all of my questions. And all told, I had both of my puppies given their shots, a prescription written (and filled) for one of my puppies, had their nails clipped and bought their flea medication for one month (for both puppies) all at a cost of only $90.00. This is an amazing place and makes the costs associated with owning a pet so much easier. My previous vet charged me $150.00 for one visit for one puppy for one set of shots and all of the same things I listed above. To think that I was able to get two puppies treated for almost half that price is amazing. Don't let the neighborhood scare you off.....it is well worth it and you will save a lot more money, much better than spending it all on vet bills. One thing I like to include is a short note and the address/contact information for the local Christian homeless shelter where they can turn for more ongoing help.
